«KNIT»
The worlds first blues on knitting comes from the fresh Norwegian duo «The Milkmen», consisting of the singing guitarist Svein Erik Martinsen and drummer Hermund Nygård. Both established musicians on the Norwegian jazz scene, they’ve created their own playground where they explore a range of instruments, often home made, and deliver playful, swinging blues and jazz tunes.
«Knit» is inspired by songwriter Martinsens lovely wife, and BBC profile Robin Ince’s art presentation of knitting women. The tune warms you up just as nicely as a traditional Norwegian woolen sweather.
